Longstaff Will NOT Leave NUFC, Here's Why

06/07/2019

Latest stories this weekend claim that Newcastle United are looking for an excess of £50 Million for young English midfielder Sean Longstaff. Manchester United seem very keen on the deal and want to get the deal done before the youngster travels to China for the PL Asian Trophy.

In our opinion, Longstaff WONT sign a deal even if it gets accepted by Newcastle. The youngster will know that if he stays at Newcastle he will have a chance at starting all 38 games in the upcoming season. Personal terms will most likely break down as the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial will run through the midfielder's mind. If he leaves Tyneside he will not get the fans on his side as much as he does now and will definitely not play as much. He will most likely become a cup midfielder for the Red Devils

Not Only That, Sean will quickly become unsettled at the European club as his family and brother, who plays for the U23's, will still live in the North East. Manchester United are reportedly going to give Longstaff a wage of £60,000 a week. That is the only thing that Sean will consider if he signs.

Overall I believe that Manchester United will NOT pay Ashley's asking price but if they do, the youngster will not sign the contract, he will stay loyal to the fans and become a great player next campaign and maybe even earn a bigger money move like Portuguese youngster Joao Felix did this summer.
